Master Data Analyst – Implement reporting processes to track data quality improvements; Provide guidance, expertise and leadership on best practice data base efforts; Proactively identify changes to business and data processes that will increase data quality, process efficiency or both; Work closely with applications development and data owners from the business; Utilize data profiling and data quality tools such as Information Steward, Data Services and MDG, as well as with other data sources to uncover and determine root cause of data quality issues; Articulate the need for and the benefits of data quality to senior management; Collaborate directly with the business data owners to establish the quality business rules that will provide the foundation of T&L's data quality improvement plan; Establish a data quality methodology documenting a repeatable set of processes for determining, investigating and resolving data quality issues, establishing an on-going process for maintaining quality data and defining data quality audit procedures; Identify best practice data standardization and validation tools and work with IS/IT and vendor partners to implement where applicable; Identify patterns, trends and inconsistencies, draw conclusions and provide recommendations in the form of remediation, corrective actions and preventative actions; Engage in stakeholder management around data quality, it's importance and rulesets; and Prepare compliance reports as needed by both internal or external requests.
Requirements - U.S. Bachelor's Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or related area and five years of progressive experience in the job offered or five years of progressive data quality experience. Special skills - One year of experience in hands-on implementation of enterprise data governance programs and Master Data Management solutions; implementing and/or using SAP Information Steward and Data Services and MDG; designing remediation plans to address data quality issues, and track record of following through to ensure closure of breaches; and with senior stakeholder management around the data asset. Occasional domestic and international travel required.
