IDG is seeking an ambitious, talented, experienced and technology savvy Account Director to join our Global Sales Team and will be responsible for working with IDG’s top agencies and clients in order to maximize revenues and market share.  The successful candidate will have the ability to find opportunities and confidently present to clients, offering highly focused and customized go-to-market solutions that drive tangible results associated with an organization’s stated objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and close sales opportunities with their customer base
  • Prospect, develop, and service relationships with agencies/clients
  • Confidently present IDG’s portfolio of custom solutions 
  • Negotiate and be responsible for all contracts and execute creative ideas
  • Drive new business revenue generation
  • Gain market share with existing customers


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS level degree or equivalent
  • 10 years online sales experience, ideally in a technology environment
  • Minimum of 3 years selling dedicated online solutions demonstrating a deep understanding of online media and trends
  • Strong and proven presentation, writing, critical thinking and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, self-motivate, and add to the energy of a highly engaged team
  • Self-starter with good organizational and time management skills; able to work within tight deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills to senior level executives
  • A solid understanding of mobile, programmatic, social and custom content sales is a plus
