About the Role

AdRoll is seeking a Head of Communications to join our rapidly expanding marketing team and help build a world-class program of media hits and thought leadership that educates, entertains, and drives demand from our target audiences.

The ideal candidate is a passionate, customer-centric marketer with a deep understanding of turning brand stories into compelling press placements and leading media relations at global scale. He/she will be responsible for translating the brand personality, cultural values, and competitive value proposition into content pillars, articles, and blog posts that elevate and solidify AdRoll’s position as the most innovative B2B company in the industry. The Head of Communications will be an inspiring editorialist with a flair for voice/tone and command of the latest trends in PR. The successful candidate will generate a drumbeat of ongoing coverage in target publications in our most important markets around the world, driving brand mentions, blog traffic, and lead generation. We're looking for a dynamic team player with exceptional PR skills who can align messaging to audience segments & execute in a fast-paced environment.


  • Develop and execute external communication strategies to meet the global communications goals of AdRoll.
  • Collaborate with fellow content team members, the global marketing team, executive stakeholders and PR agencies to plan and implement global communications projects.
  • Stay current on trends in the press and help identify global narratives in technology and business that will inform AdRoll’s communications strategy.
  • Work directly with the executive team to provide ongoing support including: briefing documents, talking points and other materials.
  • Project manage the ongoing development of executive presentations used at public functions or speaking engagements.
  • Write communications to support outreach activities including press releases, announcements, blog posts, promotional materials, letters, invitations, and other digital content.
  • Manage the reporting process for global communications programs and prepare regular reporting to management.
  • Develop framework and manage AdRoll’s global speaking opportunity and awards program.


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of relevant PR, thought leadership, & marketing experience - in ad tech or mar tech space
  • Solid understanding of how to translate brand personality & product value proposition into compelling storylines and articles
  • Experience managing external agencies
  • Exceptionally entertaining editorialist
  • Self-driven entrepreneurial spirit
  • Bias to speed yet detail-oriented
  • A great sense of humor
  • Love of whiskey or chocolate is a strong plus
