The Publicis Media Exchange (PMX) leads investment, trading and buying strategy across the Publicis Media agencies, including Blue 449, Spark Foundry, Performics, Starcom, and Zenith. PMX Precision provides central leadership for driving programmatic excellence across all agencies and client teams, including best practices, solutions, and partnerships.

The Director, Precision Solutions Operations will lead operations and project management for all efforts by the PMX Precision Solutions and Partnerships teams by developing detailed strategy, scope, communication and implementation plans for a portfolio of projects. This role will manage multiple projects at the program level and work with multi-functional teams across the business.

This leader has the ability to quickly align with stakeholders inside the company to define the scope of complicated initiatives, and has the project management, communication, presentation and creative problem solving skills to ensure we deliver projects on time. The role requires a self-motivating individual with the ability to identify gaps or program risks and take pre-emptive action to address them.
Core Job Responsibilities
  • Define an operational cadence and lead the founding of the operations and project management functions within PMX Precision
  • Work cross-functionally to define and manage release processes for certain deliverables including, but not limited to, content-driven solutions, new software tools, and marketplace improvement projects
  • Facilitate product roadmap and product scope clearly to provide a unifying point of contact for executive management so that all initiatives remain on track as projects and requirements evolve
  • Track progress on and detect deviations from the project plans and flag issues that jeopardize the quality or timeliness of deliverables
  • Work closely with leadership for PMX Precision Solutions and PMX Precision Partnerships on initiative planning and lifecycle management, as well as with partnered internal and external resources
  • Engage and manage specific projects throughout their product life cycle, and run point on several internal meetings where product provides status to the organization
  • Take responsibility for defining product/project documentation and ensuring these materials are complete and up to date
  • Support larger corporate initiatives for workflow, communication and operational standardization in partnership with other PMX and Publicis Media teams
Profile and Experience
  • A minimum of 8 years blending broad ad technology and project management experience
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong project management skills including: managing internal and external stakeholders, leading complex, multi-month projects, and managing and motivating teams through influence
  • Intermediate-to-advanced ad technology knowledge, including programmatic landscape, digital and mobile media data practices, and ad operations
  • Robust communication skills, including creative writing and editing, verbal and visual elements, presentations, decks and strategy documents
  • Ability to coordinate with colleagues who bring deep technical expertise and with marketing and business leaders
  • Since Product is a distributed team but the bulk of our stakeholders work in NYC, the ideal candidate would work from our NYC office
